White Tara (Sanskrit: तारा, tārā; Tib. སྒྲོལ་མ, Dölma), Ārya Tārā, or Shayama Tara, Jetsun Dölma, ara Bosatsu (多羅菩薩) in Japan, and Duōluó Púsà (多羅菩薩) in Chinese, is an important figure in Tibetan Buddhism.
White Tara is the Mother of all Buddhas, the embodiment of purity, graceful, power, wisdom, truthful, and transcending all limitations.
As the Goddess of Seven Eyes, the third eyes depicted in her hands and feet represents seeing all human suffering and encourages the devotee to develop vigilance and sensitivity to the energy in and around them.
The blue lotus flower from the White Tara's left hand is an energy expression of a state of fearlessness leading to Buddhahood.
