Mañjuśrī is a bodhisattva associated with prajñā (wisdom) in Mahāyāna Buddhism; it means Gentle Glory in Sanskrit and the fuller name is Mañjuśrī of Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta means Still a Youth or Prince Mañjuśrī".
Manjusri Bodhisattva is the Buddha of Wisdom and Knowledge, the Gently Auspicious One; a male Bodhisattva wielding a flaming sword, khadaga, in his right hand, representing transcendent wisdom that cuts down ignorance and delusion, hostilities, and conflict.
The scripture held in his left hand is a Prajñāpāramitā sūtra, depicts his enlightenment from the blossoming of wisdom.
